- ccccmmmmpppp____ffffllllaaaasssshhhh updates the firmware stored on the compositor attached to VPRO
- graphics. Normally, cmp_flash is executed automatically during the
- installation of a new release of IRIX. A customer should rarely need to
- use it directly. You must have superuser privelege to use this command.
-
- By default, ccccmmmmpppp____ffffllllaaaasssshhhh probes each VPRO board attached to the system for a
- compositor board, and flashes it to the current revision.
-
- Unless forced, ccccmmmmpppp____ffffllllaaaasssshhhh does not update the firmware unless the
- specified version is newer than what is currently installed. ccccmmmmpppp____ffffllllaaaasssshhhh
- can be used to obtain information about the current firmware level.
-
- The options are:
-
- ----qqqq Query the currently installed firmware versions.
-
- ----vvvv Turn on verbose mode
-
- WWWWAAAARRRRNNNNIIIINNNNGGGGSSSS
- The ccccmmmmpppp____ffffllllaaaasssshhhh command is not intended for casual use. If used
- incorrectly, it can prevent the compositor from functioning. Silicon
- Graphics strongly recommends that this command only be used under the
- supervision of a support representative.
-
- ccccmmmmpppp____ffffllllaaaasssshhhh may take a long time to run.
